We have an enticing Alternate Underground Manager (FIFO/Residential) position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +6-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 8/6 (12-hour days) roster.

Responsibilities

Experience: Minimum 7 years relevant experience in the mining industry. Ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all engineering. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Knowledge of long term mine planning. Underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine. Experience with long hole open stope, narrow vein and room and pillar mining methods. Demonstrated success in leading a professional team. Detailed working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and awareness of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations. Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. Competent in the use of mine planning and scheduling software applications. Good skills in spreadsheet and presentation applications. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Strong report writing and presentation skills. Ability to read and write English at an Australian Upper Secondary School standard.
Qualifications: Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline. Western Australia First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
