Purpose of Role:
We are looking for a Lead for our new site for the delivery of high-quality alternative provision for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes managing staff, overseeing personalised learning, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of teaching and support staff.
- Plan, deliver, and oversee learning tailored to the needs of children with SEND.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring ILPs are up to date and impactful.
- Maintain strong behaviour management strategies to support learning.
- Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and agencies to support pupil outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection policies.
- Manage daily operations, timetabling, and resources.
Essential
- Relevant qualification in working with children and young people.
- Experience working in a primary or SEND-focused environment.
- Proven leadership and staff management experience.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusion.
Desirable
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- HLTA qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
