Damerow Ford is looking for an Alternative Transportation Coordinator to join our team. You will manage the daily operations of the dealership’s loaner and rental fleet, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained, tracked, and ready for use. This role works closely with the service team to deliver timely, organized loaner support that enhances the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and manage the check-in/return process for rental and loaner vehicles.
  • Schedule and dispatch fleet vehicles to align with service appointments and customer needs.
  • Complete rental agreements and verify customer eligibility (license and insurance).
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel levels, and condition.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after use to document damage or issues.
  • Coordinate with service advisors to ensure vehicle availability matches repair timelines.
  • Use dealership software to manage fleet inventory and scheduling.
  • Ensure all vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good condition before each use.
  • Track and schedule routine maintenance for fleet vehicles.
  • Report and coordinate repairs for any damage or mechanical problems.
  • Maintain organized documentation for billing, insurance, and inventory.
  • Follow dealership procedures and ensure compliance with insurance guidelines.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support throughout the rental/loaner process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience with car dealership or fleet preferred
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with others
  • Maintains a professional, respectful, and timely approach
  • Motivated, upbeat attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to grow and take on new challenges
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
