Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 liter truck-mounted units to 60,000 liter B-train units.
This position of the ALUMINUM TANK FABRICATOR/ WELDER requires candidates with previous experience in custom fabrication with at least 2 years+ Aluminum mig welding experience.

Being a custom fabrication shop producing highway petroleum cargo tankers, we require a candidate to pneumatically test each tank they complete to ensure no leaks are present.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Read Basic Tank Drawings
  • Aluminum Mig Welding
  • Joining large aluminum sheets
  • Placing and welding bulkheads inside tank
  • Good understanding of measurements on measuring tape
  • Hand Plasma
  • Grinding, Grooving and Chamfering
  • Crane Hoists
  • Some Forklift
  • Some heavy lifting
  • Some Confined space work
  • Use of machine shop tools such as drill presses and shears to cut, bend and tap parts, experience with manual plasma torch, chop saw, hand drills and grinders.

SKILLS:

  • Work from blueprints and raw materials to finished parts that can be welded together into complete products
  • Candidate must be flexible, reliable and punctual
