Description
Join our growing Mackay Depot as the AM Operations Supervisor with a key focus on the day-to-day operations. Having a significant influence over our network and our people, this Full-Time position would suit a dedicated, motivated, and driven professional that demonstrates great leadership qualities. A genuine care for team members with a willingness to facilitate their success is critical.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Transport Management / Operations Management position leading a team of >30.
  • Experience in road transport, express or general transport experience is critical with knowledge in Linehaul, PUD and warehouse staffing advantageous.
  • Strong ability to effectively drive change, move strategically and set direction to improve commercial outcomes
  • Highly developed communication skills coupled with a strong emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team while building a high performing/resilient and supportive team culture
  • A forklift licence and/or HR licence is highly regarde
Responsibilities
  • Monday to Friday (Some weekend work required) | Fulltime permanent position
  • Drive day-to-day operations with a continued focus on gaining efficiencies to improve our high service standards.
  • Responsibility for the continued focus on the operations to gain efficiencies to improve high service standards to the customer base or improvement on operational KPI’s or financial results.
  • Work closely with all departments to implement solutions improving business performance.
  • Invest time into staff to shape personal and operational performance in-line with our People Strategy
  • Lead and assist your team with delivering a high level of service to our customers and agents.
