As a Make Ready Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in preparing ambulances for operational duty by ensuring they meet top-tier quality and safety standards. From cleaning and decontaminating to ensuring the roadworthiness of vehicles, this is a role that offers variety and satisfaction every day. Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES

  • Play a vital role in healthcare: Contribute to the safety of patients and staff by ensuring ambulances are fully ready for use, with clean and functional medical and non-medical equipment.
  • Maintain high standards: Ensure both the interior and exterior of vehicles meet cleanliness standards, contributing to the operational readiness of the fleet
  • Make a direct impact: Your work will have a direct effect on the efficiency of emergency services, ensuring that ambulances are always in the best condition to help those in need.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, including lights, wipers, and fluid levels, ensuring vehicles are ready for operation.
  • Driving & Movement: Safely drive and move ambulances between stations to facilitate cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Efficient Communication: Build positive working relationships across the organisation, helping maintain clear and effective communication.
