QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  • Master qualification in cancer/management or working towards
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a senior nursing management or relevant health role
  • Proven leadership in clinical settings with experience in governance frameworks, change management, emergency preparedness, and driving continuous quality improvement
  • Skilled in managing healthcare services efficiently, with expertise in budgeting, revenue management, patient access and flow, and project execution in large, complex organisations
  • Demonstrated success in leading services through accreditation processes, with sound understanding of legislative, statutory, and industrial frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to promote the organisation, engage stakeholders at all levels, and apply research to practice

THE ROLE

Join Alfred Cancer’s leadership team as the Ambulatory Cancer Services Manager, overseeing key clinical operations across ambulatory care settings including oncology, haematology, palliative care, radiation nursing, and specialist programs like Cancer@Home and cellular therapy. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing & Operations, this pivotal role drives service innovation, quality improvement, interdisciplinary care, and nurse-led research. Lead a dedicated nursing workforce of advanced practice nurses and contribute to shaping best-practice cancer care across Victoria.
