Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Ambulatory Care Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support the Castle Point VA Medical Center located at 41 Castle Point Rd, Wappingers Fall, NY 12590. Nurses may also be asked to provide services at Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOC). Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider in an ambulatory care setting. Perform vital signs, weight, and routine measurements, and report abnormal findings promptly. Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications as authorized, observing for adverse reactions and documenting accurately. Assist with minor procedures and treatments, ensuring proper aseptic technique and patient safety. Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, including patient assessments, interventions, and education provided. Support patient education on medication administration, wound care, and chronic disease management, reinforcing instructions given by the RN or provider. Participate in team-based care, collaborating with RNs, providers, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Ensure infection control compliance and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients. Respond appropriately to emergent situations within the scope of practice and notify the RN or provider immediately. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Current, unrestricted LPN license in any U.S. state or territory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum one year of clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting preferred. Ability to perform delegated tasks safely and effectively, recognizing when to seek guidance. No health or physical restrictions that interfere with assigned duties. No sponsorship available.
