Description JOB SUMMARY: The RN Supervisor, Ambulatory Case Management serves as the first-line resource and subject matter expert for care management staff. This role supports daily operations including case review oversight, workflow coordination, auditing, training, and ensuring compliance with department procedures and regulatory requirements. The RN Supervisor provides leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality care management services that promote optimal clinical outcomes, appropriate resource utilization, and excellent patient satisfaction. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the RN Supervisor carries a small caseload and conducts clinical reviews based on established criteria. Requirements MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field. Experience Minimum: 2+ years of inpatient review experience within a managed care organization or healthcare facility. Preferred: Previous leadership or care management supervisory experience. Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position. Certification(s) Current State Registered Nursing License Current BLS Certificate Skills, Knowledge & Abilities · Strong knowledge of managed care principles and healthcare delivery systems. · Ability to type 40 words per minute with accuracy. · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint). · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to analyze clinical data, apply criteria, and support program compliance. · Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and support staff in a patient-centered environment. The work environment may involve interacting with clinical settings during facility visits and participating in emergency response situations as appropriate.
