Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repairs, and overhaul of fleet aircraft and shop equipment
- Assist with apprentice mentoring
- Doing all work in accordance with Pacific Flying Club’s MPM, MCM, and CARS
- Receiving/ ordering parts
- Moving/ parking aircraft
- Keeping the shop, office tidy
- Any other duties assigned
Qualifications and Assets:
- A diploma from Transport Canada approved program for A.M.E. Category “M” (ICS may be acceptable if in progress)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- 2 years mechanical experience (minimum)
- Aircraft maintenance experience with Cessna series and Piper PA34 series is an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
- Sheet metal repair experience is an asset
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. May include some overtime over the spring and summer months mainly
- some weekends in the winter for de-icing
- May have to work in semi-confined spaces. Indoor and outdoor work possible at anytime
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
