WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics or shipping coordination role, preferably within the project cargo or heavy transport industry.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Transport, or a related field.
  • Experience with shipping documentation, customs procedures, and freight coordination.
  • Strong procurement and negotiation skills with an analytical mindset.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken); other languages such as Arabic are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or logistics systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

Mammoet FZE is seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Coordinator to support global and regional logistics operations. The role involves managing day-to-day shipping activities, vendor coordination, import/export documentation, and on-ground logistics support.
You will work closely with the Global Shipping Manager and various international offices to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods and equipment across all transport modes. This role is critical to maintaining Mammoet’s high standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Coordinate global and regional supply chain activities, including airfreight, sea freight, road transport, and project cargo.
  • Negotiate rates and arrange logistics solutions across multiple transport modes, aligned with project deadlines and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with transport providers, forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support customs clearance processes for imports and exports and liaise with internal asset and equipment departments to ensure documentation and regulatory accuracy.
  • Provide sales support through cost estimation and preparation of supply chain budgets.
  • Monitor shipment progress, address logistical challenges, and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of logistics processes and assist in SHEQ compliance across the supply chain.
  • Occasionally visit ports/sites to supervise loading/unloading operations and maintain operational oversight.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Global Shipping Manager or relevant supervisor.
