Victoria and Thomas Martin School of Arts and Humanities has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach foreign language classes. The primary responsibility will be teaching elementary and intermediate American Sign Language classes. Applicants may have the opportunity to teach other languages depending on qualifications, interest, and need.  As part of our commitment to academic excellence, we are building a pool of skilled instructors who can contribute to students’ success through engaging and effective teaching. The principal responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate students.    Position Overview: Adjunct instructors in the Foreign Language program will teach primarily elementary and intermediate American Sign Language to students earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, or at off-campus locations depending on the University's needs. For the 2026-2027 year, there are opportunities to teach online. 
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is teaching elementary and intermediate American Sign Language classes to undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. Instructors may also have opportunities to teach other languages based on qualifications and need.
