We are seeking an experienced, motivated and self-starting technology manager to lead a team of rapid application developers and technical staff to design, build, and deliver solutions for Americas Operations. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, hands-on development, and collaboration across multiple business and technical teams to drive new development, enhance existing solutions, and ensure the availability and reliability of critical services. An ideal candidate would have comprehensive expertise in full-stack web application development, web-centric technologies, Cloud infrastructure and databases/datasets. Key outcomes include building scalable, maintainable solutions that are highly usable, innovating with business users on how to best solve for current pain points, while balancing efficient delivery, solution adoption, and managing technical debt. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams, regions, and projects are essential.
DESCRIPTION
• Mentor and guide team members to do their best work at Apple. • Lead a team of software developers and technical staff to define, build, test, deploy and maintain a portfolio of web-based ‘rapid application development’ solutions. • Provide technical leadership, drive architecture/design reviews, privacy/security clearance, development & testing, deployment go-ahead, as well as day-to-day coaching for critical decisions during the software development life-cycle. • Balance trade-offs for NFRs such as flexibility, performance, scalability, support. • Partner with the business and process reengineering teams to define and drive an integrated capabilities roadmap with focus on business value, automation & quality. • Provide integrated support for business critical applications, driving issue root cause analysis, risk assessment, resolution options while collaborating with partner teams. • Drive alignment and initiatives across worldwide and regional development teams to achieve global goals, such as shared support models, technical knowledge transfer. • Collaborate with global partners on best practices, enterprise tool development and key process improvement - maintain strong partnerships with key business leaders. • Manage staffing and onboarding activities to support overall team vision, delivery of features, and ensuring support during key periods. • Drive, influence, and develop long-term strategic initiatives that shape the future of Apple’s supply chain roadmap, influence leaders on approach to complex problems. • Drive innovation opportunities within our supply chain aimed towards achieving Apple’s • Sustainability and eco-friendly goals of Carbon Neutrality by 2030. • Less than 10% required travel.
