Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and results-driven Americas Testing Service Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will act as the primary liaison between our testing laboratories and commercial teams, managing and coordinating testing requests for material data generation and customer needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless request execution. Your expertise in material characterization and project management will be critical in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Americas Testing Service Request case management with good planning and multi-tasking skills. Communications with the Commercial and Project Management team to understand project background and customer needs, recommend appropriate testing techniques and test parameters, as well as constantly provide update on request progress. Follow and monitor budgetary threshold guidelines for Service Request case management. Timely support to answer customer’s inquiries related to testing capability, testing methods, simple data interpretation, new methods or external testing, etc. Engage with Product Specialist team to align on request scope and relevance to finalize testing plan and review/approval data. Interact and collaborate with various global labs on molding and testing job submission, method alignment, testing capability and completion timeline, etc. Submit lab molding and testing jobs, interpret mechanical and analytical testing data, and write Service Request reports. Consistently balance the needs of multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize the tasks and ensure to complete work within committed deadline. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field also acceptable with significant relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory environment (combination of academic and industrial experience accepted). Experience in engineering polymers and testing techniques, including mechanical and analytical testing properties. Experience in material identification, failure analysis, thermal analysis, material degradation, and be able to recommend relevant technique for customer testing request. Knowledge of organic chemistry, chemical handling/safety, SDS, and familiar with chemical/material safety approval process. Basic understanding of polymer manufacturing/conversion techniques (specifically compounding and injection molding). Familiar with global standardized test methods on plastics (ISO, ASTM, IEC, DIN, etc.). Must be energetic, self-motivated, flexible/adaptable and with good time management skills. Be a team player, results oriented, and with a strong safety conscious mindset and a desire for excellence and continuous improvement. Constantly seek input from key stakeholders on projects and activities in progress and up-coming. Building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams (global service request, commercial, project management, product specialists, laboratories, field technical service, CAE, etc.). Leadership skills, optimizing work process, resolving conflicts and team development. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
