Description SUMMARY The TMHS Parts associate is dedicated to providing top level support to customers, technicians and sales associates in need of repair parts. You will be responsible for using the data provided to locate the correct parts required as well as making recommendations for associated parts needed to do the job right in an efficient manner. Ultimately, you will maintain and improve our brand, ensuring that we exceed the customers’ expectations with exceptional product knowledge and superior customer service skills. JOB DESCRIPTION The parts associate is the person responsible for locating and supplying parts for the customer. He/she must have above average people skills and adequate product knowledge that enables you to know all the applicable parts required to do certain jobs. Forklift technical experience is not a requirement but is a benefit for this position. He/she uses various forms of schematics for identifying specific parts daily. You will communicate with vendors for those parts, designate shipping methods, process the orders, and follow up to ensure the customer gets their repair parts when promised. Requirements SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES Strong communication, organizational and time management skills · Above average computer skills: typing, NDS, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, Powerpoint, etc… · Demonstrate good decision-making skills in fast paced environment · Ability to work well with customers and co-workers, team player attitude a must · Average knowledge of forklift, parts and their functions · General knowledge of inventory control methods · Maintain PO system and monitor outstanding PO’s · Ability to utilize Dealer Portal for parts lookup and ordering for Toyota units · Ability to source non-Toyota parts as well as all makes of aftermarket parts · Follow all 5S policies and procedures · Competitive spirit with a self-starter personality · Occasionally operate forklift equipment (training internally provided) · Company provided parts procurement training is ongoing and required by the parts associate · Must be able to lift 50 pounds WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of parts procurement experience Forklift technical experience a plus EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position is in an office setting where the noise level is generally quiet to sometimes moderate if working near the shop area. Employees are occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Employees must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
