ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a registered Social Worker and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to lead and develop our strategic AMHP and Safeguarding Assurance service. This is a senior leadership role that combines strategic oversight with operational delivery, ensuring excellence in safeguarding and mental health practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Leading the development and implementation of AMHP and safeguarding strategies aligned with national and local priorities.
• Overseeing quality assurance processes to monitor and improve safeguarding and AMHP services.
• Managing the AMHP Team Manager and supporting succession planning, including trainee recruitment and development.
• Directly managing Safeguarding Adults Managers and Independent Chairs, ensuring expert guidance and thematic work across partnerships.
• Embedding Making Safeguarding Personal principles throughout all safeguarding interventions.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of vigilance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Providing assurance to the BCSSP on community safety and adult social care delivery, including AMHP duties
