Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting and AML Data Engineer to join our Compliance Systems Team. In this role you will help the team to design and develop a data integration workflow that provides for the extracting, loading, and transforming of data using Oracle ODI. Additionally apply data science techniques to solve business problems across a broad range of data analysis functions including predictive analysis, data modeling, visualization, and data profiling. The Data engineer must be capable of working in a collaborative environment to support rapid development and delivery of highly demanding projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing ODI ETL interfaces and packages from several data sources
  • Ability to run turn-key analytics from data acquisition, preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods including Python/ SAS/ R to analyze compliance data.
  • Prepare statistical and non-statistical data for visualization and exploration, validate data, identify data quality issues in AML and Trade surveillance monitoring projects.
  • Contribute towards AML Optimization techniques and related deliverables i.e. Optimizing and tuning monitoring systems, document optimization solutions, and present results to non-technical audiences; write formal documentation using statistical vocabulary;
  • Build Machine Learning (Predictive Modeling/ Classification/ Regression) models.
  • Conduct data analysis, data mining, read and create formal statistical documentation, and work with Technology and Sponsors to address issues.
  • Assist in development of automating predictive modeling for AML and Trade surveillance using OFSAA/FCCM Compliance Studio
  • Create Visualizations and report to articulate technical results
  • Act as a liaison between technical development and business users and provide solution
  • Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate suitability and viability of new technologies and solutions from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Working with project managers, developers, testers and other specialists across multiple teams and locations to make sure that projects meet business needs

Required skills:

  • Strong Experience with Oracle ODI in Development, ETL designs, datastores, topology, building objects in Designer, Monitoring Operator, different type of KMs, Agents, etc.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and Data warehousing concepts
  • Strong knowledge in PL/SQL, Oracle, SQL
  • Strong statistical academic background, knowledge of quantitative methods, including predictive modeling techniques
  • Experience in creating and assessing Statistical Models
  • Good working knowledge of Python/ SAS/ R & MS Office Suite
  • Proficient in Data Classification, Clustering and Sampling Techniques (ATL, BTL)
  • 5 - 8 years of relevant Working Experience in the AML Financial Compliance space and technologies
  • Exposure to AML Transaction Monitoring applications like Oracle OFSAA/FCCM (Mantas) and Actimize will be preferred
  • Experience in Oracle FCCM Compliance Studio scenario modelling and simulation will be a plus
  • Prior Machine Learning experience will be a plus
  • Good Team player, must be self-motivated, have strong analytical skills, plan and manage time effectively, and business focused
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range
$110,000 - $160,000
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
