We are looking for: - college-enrollment ready (current Partners) or current enrollment in an advanced manufacturing technology degree program - long-term career interest at H-E-B What is the work? - Works approximately 20 - 30 hours a week in a business unit located at the San Antonio Retail Support Center (Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Transportation facilities near I-35 and Rittiman Road) - Receives a company overview, training, and exposure to H-E-B Leadership - Attends / performs practical, on-the-job training and assignments and projects related to your Internship and business location - Receives a final evaluation to assess performance, review goals, and discuss future career paths - On successful completion of the internship, may be considered for a fulltime position in H-E-B Manufacturing or Industrial Facility Service Maintenance departments What is your background? - Enrollment in an advanced manufacturing technology degree program or - College-enrollment ready if a current H-E-B Partner - Long term career interest with H-E-B - Strong academic record (3.0 GPA preferred) - Participation in a STEM / CTE program (e.g., PREP, PLTW, engineering, robotics, electrical) (preferred) Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B MWT Maintenance Intern? - Working knowledge of assigned functional area - Strong organization and time management skills - Verbal / written communication and presentation skills - Personal leadership skills - Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database maintenance - Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail - Ability to exhibit professionalism - Ability to work in a team environment Can you... - Function in a fast-paced industrial environment - Stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, and reach overhead and side to side throughout shift - Work various schedules based on business need 12-2022
