Ride Operator – Traders Village Houston (WEEKEND ONLY) Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 AM – Close Job Overview: Provide guests—especially children—with a safe and enjoyable amusement ride experience. This role requires attention to detail, patience, and excellent customer service. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain ride area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner. Follow all ride policies and procedures while operating the ride. Stay alert and aware of safety regulations at all times. Collect ride tickets and load guests safely, securing all straps, belts, and latches. Monitor the ride and guests while the ride is in motion. Assist guests off the ride once it comes to a complete stop. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be at least 17 years old No prior experience necessary — training provided. Must complete a two-week ride-training program and pass the written test. Must be available to work every weekend. Ability to lift and push a minimum of 35 lbs. Must be patient with children. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; bilingual a plus. Ability to understand and follow directions. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail. Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and work in both heat and cold. Must maintain a positive attitude — you are the face of Traders Village Houston!
Responsibilities
Operate amusement rides safely while ensuring guests, particularly children, have an enjoyable experience. Maintain the ride area's cleanliness and strictly follow all safety policies and procedures.
