Internship Job title: Global Supply Chain Planning Internship Department / Division: Global Supply Chain Planning Hourly Range: $23 – 24/hour Location: Ada, MI Work Arrangement: Onsite What’s special about this team: The Global Supply Chain Planning team collaborates to schedule and distribute products globally, utilizing our facilities in California and Michigan, as well as our global supply chain teams. Global Supply Chain Planning is divided into the product categories that are sold in our business: Nutrition, Beauty, Personal Care, Home Care, and Durable Goods. This team thrives on delivering product on time, while minimizing shipping and inventory costs, and delivering cost savings to the supply chain. To ensure a successful internship in Planning at Amway, we will provide in-depth onboarding training in Planning knowledge and introduce you to all the cross-functional partners with whom we work, including Forecasting, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Transportation, and others. During your internship, you will be assigned a mentor that will help guide you in all things Amway and Planning, and one project owner who will help guide you through your specific project. How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: Your role in Planning will play a pivotal role in the success of our department as we provide our interns with real, meaningful projects that one or more full-time employees would usually complete. During the internship, you will also have the opportunity to work in some of our key systems with daily work. This is to provide insights into what full-time employees accomplish and the challenges that may arise. An example of a typical project would be: Streamline the artwork change communication process with internal partners and suppliers Identify gaps and opportunities in raw material inventory management. Required skills and background: Desired Major: Business or Supply Chain Management Desired Class Year: Sophomore or Junior Desired Skills: Informed decision making, engaged and influencing to address others’ needs and priorities with internal business partners and external suppliers, personal responsibility, collaboration to work with partners from various backgrounds, leadership capabilities, and decision making.
