This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability. This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental & vision), 401K, paid vacation, discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.   SUMMARY:  The in house painter is responsible for the overall décor of the hotel. Solid concentration on painting, while having a skillset that is able to support all projects within the facility. This individual should have the understanding and ability to paint (various forms), perform wall/ceiling repairs, caulk, and work with flooring materials. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  - Painting using a brush, roller, and/or sprayer - Ability to work with stain products - Patching and repairing walls - Working with flooring materials including but not limited to carpet squares, LVT, and ceramic tile - Ability to make wallpaper repairs or hang wallpaper - Ability to caulk - Ability to make furniture repairs - Light carpentry skills are a plus, but not required - Clean, protect, secure and maintain all tools and equipment throughout the facility - Protect and maintain assigned tools and lockers - Develop a working knowledge of life safety equipment and responsibilities - Ability to maintain a daily log of activities and communicate to other shifts - Ability to clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering leadership - Ability to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping all work areas clean and organized - Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner - Maintain a professional image at all times - Maintain the facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner - Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures - Perform duties assigned by Engineering Management - Report to work on time in a full Engineering uniform REQUIRED SKILLS: - Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds - Must be able to work on a ladder - Cerified HiLo operator (or ability to obtain certification) - Certified to operate an articulating lift (or ability to obtain certification) - Certified to operate a scissor lift (or ability to obtain certification) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Related experience is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  While performing the duties of this job, the associate: - Is regularly required to stand, walk and run - Is regularly required to climb ladders and maintain heights - Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects - Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms - Is regularly required to talk or hear; to smell - Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl - Must occasionally lift and/or move at least 40 pounds - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
