Description

CHANGE THE WORLD. LOVE YOUR JOB.

Join a TI design group developing high-speed state-of-the-art analog ICs. Our group designs both cutting-edge high-speed Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog Converters (ADCs and DACs). We are looking for highly motivated new college graduates to work under supervision of our experienced IC development team. Your role will involve various technically challenging and innovative tasks spanning the full cycle of mixed-signal IC development. Rotation between these tasks serves both project execution and individual development:

  • Analog and mixed-signal IC topology development to satisfy the system and IC specifications
  • Simulation and verification using SPECTRE, AMS and MAESTRO
  • IC layout and parasitic extraction followed by iterative optimization in the Virtuoso environment
  • Characterization and possible debug of previous and next generation data converter IC’s using high-end laboratory instruments and automatization software
  • Product modelling to create behavioral models and understanding

In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Completed classes/labs in IC circuit design or equivalent industry experience
  • Deep understanding of IC circuits and associated understanding of IC devices
  • Good tactical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Very strong sense of ownership while thinking beyond the assigned boundaries
  • Solid teaming skills needed to ensure product differentiation
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent software
  • Effective English written and verbal communication competence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for creativity especially in RF and analog circuits.
  • Knowledge of additional Cadence design tools such as AMS, Maestro, VPS VAVO, etc.
  • Additional software skills such as Electro-Magnetic extraction
  • Expertise in high-speed (>10 GHz) clock and/or signal chain, including noise analysis, stability, aging, reliability, design for Electro-Migration
  • Knowledge of advanced small geometry process nodes
  • Device and or System Modelling such as MATLAB, IBIS model generation, etc.
  • Layout skills to help during peak loads and / or layout expertise such as matching & trim
  • Competent user of UNIX / LINUX environment
