VALiNTRY is seeking Analog / Power Supply Applications Engineer Supporting Sales.
Position is onsite in Santa Clara, CA
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.
The Analog / Power Supply Applications Engineer Applications Engineer will proactively support power solutions across diverse market opportunities. This role involves close collaboration with the assigned Senior Business Development Manager and Customer Service Representative to provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales support. Responsibilities include recommending products based on customer application needs, assisting with product installation from electrical, mechanical, and thermal perspectives, and troubleshooting customer systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in analog/power supply design or analog-based applications engineering.
  • Strong electronics technician skills and hands-on technical expertise.
  • Deep understanding of analog design principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate technology solutions, power architectures, and product positioning to both technical and business audiences.
  • Drive business development efforts:
  • Direct: Engage customers directly to identify opportunities.
  • Distribution: Support business development in partnership with Vicor’s Top 100 Accounts.
  • Capture technical requirements and system architectures from customers and serve as the liaison to Product Line Engineers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conduct schematic reviews and address incoming customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, requiring 30–50% travel.
  • Deliver technical seminars and product training sessions for manufacturer representatives.
  • Assist with hands-on product evaluations and application testing.
  • Generate application notes under the guidance of the Leadership.
