VALiNTRY is seeking Analog / Power Supply Strategic Applications Engineer
Position is onsite in Santa Clara, CA
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.
Position Overview:
The Sr. (Strategic) Field Applications Engineer is responsible for proactively promoting and supporting power solutions across diverse market opportunities, with a primary focus on Data Center and AI applications. This role requires strategic collaboration with an assigned Sales Manager and Customer Service Representative to deliver comprehensive pre- and post-sales support, including product selection, system definition, installation guidance (electrical, mechanical, and thermal), and troubleshooting customer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate technology, power architectures, and product positioning effectively to both technical and business audiences.
  • Drive business development:
  • Direct: Engage directly with customers.
  • Distribution: Collaborate with channel partners.
  • Capture technical requirements and system architectures from customers, serving as the liaison to Product Line Engineers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Perform design reviews, including schematics and layout assessments.
  • Manage incoming customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Conduct regular customer visits (30–50% travel).
  • Lead technical seminars and product training sessions for the manufacturer’s rep organization.
  • Assist with hands-on product evaluations and testing.
  • Generate application notes under the guidance of the FAE Manager.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in analog/power supply design or applications engineering, with capable Electronics Technician skills.
  • Strong expertise in analog design principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience designing or testing VR solutions for CPUs, GPUs, or ASICs is highly desirable.
