Overview: The Accounting Analyst is an experienced accountant who will evaluate, record, and analyze financial data to support business decisions, budgetary planning and compliance. Key duties include performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, conducting variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and supporting audit processes. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow with the company and help shape accounting processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment. What you will be responsible for: Handling day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts and prepare reports for leadership. Actively supporting internal and external audits and compliance efforts, preparing SOX documentation, and working through audit requests. Ensure accuracy by reviewing general ledger accounts, performing bank reconciliations, and posting journal entries. *All other duties as outlined by senior leadership What you will need to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field (required) Minimum of five years of previous accounting experience (preferably within a public company environment) CPA or must be actively seeking CPA candidacy within one year of employment. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements Experience working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and priorities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) and experience with accounting software, ERP systems. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
