Job Overview The Analyst, Accounting role is responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger and reconciliations, to support the Senior Associates and Associates, Accounting. The Analyst, Accounting carries out these duties in accordance with the agreed accounting processes and ensures they are carried out in a timely and materially accurate manner. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Responsibility for the accurate recording of financial transactions that have been assigned to him, always maintaining efficiency and accuracy in their outputs, ensuring the agreed processes are being followed. Responsible for ensuring that all sales invoices received in Continia are processed. Responsible for ensuring purchase invoices received in Continia, processed and approved. Performing reconciliation of financial data in line with agreed procedures. Responsibility for recording banking information in BC and SharePoint: Ensure funds received in Brilliant are processed daily. Perform bank reconciliations in the agreed format and ensure available in a timely manner. Process cash receipts and allocate to receivables daily. Process bank charges in a timely manner. Ensure all bank statements are received and saved in Sharepoint to agreed timescales. Perform other ad hoc duties that have been set by the Senior Associates and Associates, Accounting and ensure that the outputs are of high quality. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; 1-3 years of experience in treasury functions, finance, or a related area; Solid understanding of cash management principles, foreign exchange, and financial regulations; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously; A team player with a collaborative attitude and a strong sense of accountability; Previous experience in the shipping or maritime industries is a plus.
