RKD Group is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Reporting Analyst to support our Reporting and Insights team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about data quality and operational efficiency. This analyst will assist with data validation, report maintenance, and investigative tasks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our reporting outputs. They will support quality assurance efforts by performing side-by-side comparisons as we modernize our reporting platforms. Additionally, they will be responsible for documenting processes within the reporting department and working with the data governance team to keep documentation current. Responsibilities and Expectations: · Perform quality control (QC) checks on reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness. · Assist with data cleansing and preparation for reporting and analysis. · Refresh and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards on a regular schedule. · Compare and reconcile data across multiple reports and systems. · Conduct data investigations to identify discrepancies or unexpected results, and to determine their root cause. · Support platform transitions by performing side-by-side comparisons of legacy and updated reports. · Collaborate with team members to support ad hoc reporting needs and special requests. · Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. · Act as a liaison between reporting and data governance teams, helping to keep the data catalog and client data governance guidebooks up to date. · Perform other duties as assigned to support the analytics and reporting function. Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree - Business, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). · Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, PowerPivot). · Familiarity with data concepts - cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Other experience: · Experience with MS SQL queries for data extraction/validation is a plus. · Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus. · Experience with Knime. Alteryx, Snowflake or Lytix is a plus. This position is offered remotely. Pay range expected for the position: $55,000 to 60,000 annually. The compensation and position level for this role will be determined based on the market location, experience, job skills, and qualifications of the candidate.
