Position Summary:
Support the Asset Backed Commercial Paper program ("ABCP") conduit management platform; be an ABCP placement professional - the principal requirement is the ability to place/trade day-to-day ABCP for one of the two conduits through our Dealer Panel which comprises of major Wall Street ABCP dealers including MUSA. The candidate should have fixed income market experience including commercial paper, ideally asset-backed CP. The ability to train rapidly under experienced team members to become proficient in our conduit funding systems, administrative matters and various day-to-day market and operational analytical areas is critical.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly collaborative and flexible in a team and client environment with ability to form good relationships internally and externally
- Ability to organize thoughts and clearly articulate points and provide summaries and explanations of the short-term markets and transactions
- Works well in a culturally diverse and team-oriented environment
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and an interest in continuous learning
- Knowledge of securitization, ABCP conduits or commercial paper a plus
- Experience in a trading / issuance function
- 1-3 years of experience in finance and or related industry
- Good communication overall, both internal and external audience
- Strong programming or automation skills, high proficiency Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $195K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation. - Build and maintain automated models, dashboards and tools to monitor asset and funding performance.
- Identify inefficiencies in reporting and workflow; implement process improvements through scripting or automation platforms (e.g. Python, VBA, SQL, Power BI
Skill set we are looking for:
- Strong analytical fixed income background, commercial paper experience, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills along with ability to pick up front and back office ABCP systems and processes/procedures.
- Ideally prior experience with a CP dealer or ABCP group.
- Knowledge of commercial paper clearing through DTC, Issuing & Paying Agents and settlement of CP processes in the market.
- Good writing skills. Programming skills a plus
