JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Analyst/Associate role will cover two key areas:A) Engagement in the day-to-day P&L generation activities of the business (pricing, trading, booking, and sales).B) Programming (with oversight from senior team members) on the desk while working closely with our tech partners to develop new tools & infrastructure.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with Prime Brokerage and Equity Derivative teams to help raise funding and liquidity for the Global Equities business
  • Partner with various internal teams (Unsecured Funding, Finance, Strats, Operations, etc.) to facilitate liquidity needs and raise funding accordingly to meet regulatory and internal requirements
  • Lead the development of technology solutions to serve the needs of the business working closely with our technology partners
  • Manage the day to day trading, booking, P&L and maintenance of the Equity Repo and Secured Funding books in the US region
  • Build client relationships to source liquidity and funding for TD from other market participants
  • Operate effectively within the defined regulatory control framework and ensure inherent risks are timely reported, escalated and mitigated.
  • Develop strong relationships within Front Office, Risk Management, Technology and Operations, while promoting an excellent client experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (MBA and CFA will be an asset)
  • Up to 5 years of relevant work experience or internships, ideally within the banking or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Securities Lending, Repo, Total Return Swaps, Options would be an asset
  • Technical skills in Python (Pandas), SQL, front-end/back-end development experience, etc.
  • Interest in learning about regulations (Basel III etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized with the proven ability to set priorities;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Superior interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Strong customer service orientation and focus on delivering high quality service
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute however and wherever possible;
    The Analyst Sales & Trading provides quality, efficient and specialized sales and trading support on multiple and diverse range of assignments. The Analyst Sales & Trading also Inputs trade details into trade capture systems as directed by the Sales or Trading desks. The position also ensures that all required economic attributes are captured to appropriately reflect the economic impact for which the trade was intended, positions are appropriately valued and allows for cash flows and risk to be accurately represented. The Analyst Sales and Trading ensures that all required counterparty details and trade control codes are captured to facilitate downstream operations and regulatory reporting processes accurately and efficiently.

  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
