For additional information, please visit Oaktree’s website at http://www.oaktreecapital.com/ Responsibilities The Corporate Accounting Department at Oaktree is seeking a Cash Analyst responsible for overseeing daily cash activities, performing timely reconciliations, and supporting accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities include: Oversee the daily cash activities, perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner, research, clear, and reduce aged outstanding items. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including posting of accruals, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and preparation of management reports. Develop relationships and work closely with business partners including Treasury, Fund Accounting and Expense & Allocation Management Department to ensure smooth execution of cash posting, fund billing, fund refund, write offs, fund liquidation processes. Review financial calculations and account analysis; create robust supporting schedules for assigned accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in cash posting, bank reconciliation and other operational processes of Workday. Coordinate with internal and external auditors in annual audits and complete requests related to the role of subject matter expertise. Perform certain key internal control processes. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in accounting, operational accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting. Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting in order to initiate and lead process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures. Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems. Specific experience with Workday systems a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, ask questions, detect problems and provide solutions.
