This is an opportunity to join a forward-looking multi-year Investment Platform transformation program designed to deliver a modernized target operating model. The initiative will drive end-to-end modernization of technology and data capabilities, enabling streamlined processes, enhanced scalability, and improved decision-making across investment, operations, and finance teams.
The Transformation Office is accountable for all aspects of program delivery including Program and Project Management, Change Management & Communications, Transformation Design and Delivery, and Data Enablement.
This is a 12 month fixed term T4 contract (Not hourly rate, not Independent Consultants)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: University degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are considered strong assets.
Experience: 4+ years’ experience as a business analyst or compliance analyst in asset management, with hands-on experience in compliance rule coding and configuration in platforms such as Aladdin, CRD, or Bloomberg OMS. Strong understanding of investment products and asset classes (public and private markets) with working knowledge of Data operations and PM/Trading workflows. Direct experience with investment compliance processes, regulatory reporting, and/or risk management preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis, process mapping, and requirements documentation, with strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools. Familiarity with compliance monitoring tools, regulatory frameworks, and data integration concepts.
Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Learning & Adaptability: Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to fast-changing regulatory and technology environments.

Responsibilities

Analyze and document business requirements for compliance rules based on investment guidelines, Mandate Rules, Trading limits, regulatory compliance checks and requirements; operational/data compliance checks, risk limits, and internal policies.
Translate regulatory, investment guidelines and operational compliance requirements for codification in the BlackRock Compliance configuration.
Act as the day-to-day compliance contact within the workstream for compliance rules-related questions that arise from stakeholders across the program and business units.
Testing & Quality Assurance: develop test cases and execute testing to ensure compliance rules are implemented accurately and aligned with business requirements.
Participate in defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution of issues related to compliance rule logic or system performance.
Work with compliance and investment data to design and develop dashboards and reports that monitor compliance breaches, rule effectiveness, and key metrics.
Leverage tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Python to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights to compliance and investment teams.
Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to compliance processes, technology changes, or regulatory developments.
