The Analyst, Corporate Accounting plays a crucial role in ensuring a precise and comprehensive general ledger close process.
This position demands proficiency in industry-specific accounting practices, sharp analytical skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising activities to guarantee accuracy in the general ledger close.
  • Assisting in general accounting operations by executing month-end close procedures and validating financial transactions.
  • Conducting accounting and reporting tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Monitoring and analyzing general ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports.
  • Applying industry-specific accounting principles, advanced computer skills, and a deep understanding of the company’s operations and administrative systems.
  • Demonstrating a proactive attitude towards learning, development, and enhancing continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts including accruals, prepaids, eliminations, DDA and intercompany accounts
  • Complete assigned account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare accurate, well-documented journal entries; verify account balances and ensure proper accounting classifications
  • Preparation of internal financial statements
  • Ensure all financial reports and disclosures are compliant with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and internal policies and procedures
  • Conduct basic financial variance analyses to support decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy
  • Support management with ad hoc reporting and in-depth financial analysis as needed

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination or education and work experience
  • 1-4 years accounting experience in public accounting of financial services industry preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills required
  • Must be a flexible, independent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to step-in and provide support as needed
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word,

The estimated base salary range for this position is $ 70,000 USD to $ 85,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
