Opportunity to join the Canadian Critical Minerals & Energy team in Toronto which is part of the global Critical Minerals & Energy team with 40 plus bankers across Australia, Asia, South Africa and Europe. The Critical Minerals & Energy team in Toronto covers the North American mining and metals sector focused on advisor assignments across precious metals, base metals, battery metals and bulk commodities.

What role will you play?
By leveraging Macquarie’s global capabilities, you will apply your investment banking knowledge to assist our clients in meeting their financial and strategic needs. You will also be expected to participate in the execution of advisory transactions and in the pursuit of new business opportunities. Additionally, you will have strong attention to detail, exceptional work ethic as well as strong time, process management and communication skills.

What you offer

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in investment banking, equity research, corporate development, M&A or private equity (metals & mining experience preferred but not required)
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in commerce, engineering, geology or related field
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of financial statements, accounting and finance
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
