Job Posting: Analyst – Accounting Controls Location: Mexico  (Hybrid) Department: Finance / Supply Chain Accounting Reports to: Manager, Accounting Controls Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Controls Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is critical in managing and controlling costs related to Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Distribution, with a focus on Standard Costing, Purchase Price Variances, Inventory Valuation, and Warehousing across Co-manufacturing, Copack, and Distribution Centers.You will ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX controls, support month-end close processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to implement system improvements that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Inventory, COGS & Distribution Accounting • Support month-end close activities related to inventory, COGS, and distribution.• Reconcile inventory adjustments and ensure proper classification in financial statements.• Process co-manufacturing billbacks and validate production/shipment data across systems.• Perform sample counts and reconcile inventory across portals and ERP systems. Operational & Financial Analysis • Analyze cost and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities.• Investigate anomalies and variances in financial data.• Monitor cycle counts and leverage KPI dashboards to drive insights. Controls & Compliance • Execute control reviews, including SOX compliance, within supply chain accounting.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and 3PL/Co-man partners on system enhancements.• Recommend and document process improvements to maintain relevance in a dynamic environment.• Communicate findings and compliance summaries to stakeholders. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Experience • 1–3 years in financial roles, with at least 1 year in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.• Experience in consumer goods or production industries is a plus. Technical Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).• Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple systems.• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
