Description

Piper Companies is seeking an Analyst - Deposit Data, to support a top-tier credit union headquartered in McLean, VA. The Analyst - Deposit Data will deliver actionable insights by collaborating with data teams to acquire, transform, and visualize data, supporting strategic and daily decision-making across all lending product areas.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ANALYST - DEPOSIT DATA INCLUDE:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics related to credit card and consumer lending products, with a focus on marketing performance, statistical evaluation, and portfolio insights within financial services.
  • Proficient in SQL, Tableau, R, and Python, with hands-on experience managing and analyzing large datasets to support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Skilled in statistical techniques including A/B testing, forecasting, and time series analysis, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and support data-backed decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of clearly conveying complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Engineering, providing a strong foundation for data-driven analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Business Objects to support operational monitoring and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze complex business data using SQL and Excel to identify trends, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure consistent performance measurement across multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business units to evaluate campaign performance across various channels—including digital, mobile, and in-branch—providing actionable insights to optimize outreach strategies.
  • Conduct competitive and industry analysis to assess the organization’s market position and inform strategic planning.
