Description
We are seeking a highly organized and technical Product Business Analyst. This role is the backbone of our product development process, responsible for maintaining impeccable documentation, mapping complex business workflows, and leveraging SQL to extract insights. Crucially, you will also serve as the primary interface with our clients, translating their high-level business needs into technical blueprints. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CLIENT ENGAGEMENT & REQUIREMENT ELICITATION * Requirement Discovery: Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders and clients to extract "the 'why" behind feature requests. * Client Demos: Lead product demonstrations and "Proof of Concept" presentations to show clients how technical solutions solve their specific business pain points. * User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and lead UAT sessions with clients, ensuring the delivered product meets their expectations and business requirements. * Gap Analysis: Evaluate the difference between current product capabilities and client needs, proposing technical workarounds or new feature developments. DOCUMENTATION & WORKFLOW DESIGN * Technical Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), functional specifications, and API documentation. * Workflow Mapping: Create detailed process maps and BPMN diagrams to visualize current-state and future-state workflows. * Knowledge Base Management: Ensure the internal Wiki (Confluence/Notion) is updated with version-controlled product logic and business rules. REPORTING & DATABASE MANAGEMENT * Reporting: Design and automate daily/weekly performance reports that track product health, user adoption, and operational efficiency. * Data Extraction: Write complex SQL queries to pull raw data for ad-hoc analysis, bypassing the need for pre-built dashboards. * Database Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers to understand schema and help define requirements for new data tables. ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS TECHNICAL SKILLS * Advanced SQL: Expert-level ability to perform joins, subqueries, and window functions. * Database Experience: Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and data modeling. * Visualization: Ability to transform raw SQL outputs into visual stories using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. * Workflow Tooling: Mastery of flowcharting tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio. CORE BA & SOFT SKILLS * Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage conflicting priorities from different departments or high-value clients. * Active Listening: The ability to hear a client's "pain point" and translate it into a structured technical requirement. * Precision: An obsession with detail, ensuring documentation is "developer-ready" and contains no ambiguity. * Communication: Acting as the "translator" between the database architecture and the business strategy. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Computer Science. * Experience: 3+ years in a Technical BA or Product Analyst role, with a documented history of client-facing project delivery. * Technical Portfolio: Be prepared to discuss specific workflows you have optimized or complex SQL queries you have built to solve a business problem.
