Description
The Analyst, EPIC Anesthesia/Sedation plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of anesthesiology departments through the implementation and support of the Epic Anesthesia module. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, clinical knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure that the system meets the needs of healthcare providers and ultimately improves patient care outcome. Requires flexibility of schedules of working hours. Hours may be subject to change to support the application during upgrades and on call. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or other related field. * Prior experience with Epic implementation, and great understanding of surgical and sedation operations workflows. * EPIC Anesthesia Certification -- PREFERRED * Certificates in other Epic Outpatient Clinical modules - PREFERRED * Ability to understand customer requirements and their impact on the technical aspects of a solution. * Ability to work in a complex multi-communication-channel environment. * Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams. * Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues. * Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast --paced environment with changing priorities. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Work PowerPoint, etc.) * Proficiency in configuring and managing the Epic Anesthesia module. * Understands healthcare Information Technology systems and Electronic Health Records integration. * Knowledge of clinical workflows and requirements specific to anesthesiology. * Requires knowledge of the client areas function and systems, technology alternatives, and ability to work effectively with client and Information Technology management and staff.
