THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it Where are customers beating our prices? Did our NBA 5-leg SGPs perform better last year? How do player markets perform when a game is high scoring? As an Analyst on our Sports Modeling & Innovation team (trader analytics), you will be directly or indirectly using customer level data, game level data, and player stats to deliver actionable insights. You will be working together with our data scientists, trading, product and commercial teams to drive decision making around our sportsbook products. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs. THE GAME PLAN Everyone on our team has a part to play Support the Trading Analytics Manager, by creating analytics tools, dashboards, and detailed analyses to help improve the overall profitability of FanDuel’s Sportsbook products Pinpoint areas of market underperformance and help steer modeling/trading team to address needs Ability to own a suite of automated reports that regularly reach Trading, Product and Modeling leaders Field and fulfill requests for various business inquiries Identify shifting trends in betting behavior over time Create organized documentation and clean code THE STATS What we're looking for in our next teammate A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, Analytics, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis Passion for sports with an in-depth knowledge and interest of the four major American sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) with knowledge of other leagues (UFC, WNBA, PGA, etc.) a plus A basic understanding of sports betting and statistics Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint required Ability to use Tableau, Python, or R preferred, but not required Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing stakeholders and colleagues Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones preferred ABOUT FANDUEL FanDuel Group is the premier mobile gaming company in the United States and Canada. The applicable salary range for this position is $79,000 - $99,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. Responsibilities
