Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports to be sent to local and international granting agencies. Specifically, you will be responsible to; Prepare and review budgets to be submitted to donor agencies. Prepare financial report and invoices to be send to granting agencies. Meeting Principal Investigators on a monthly basis to discuss grant project financials. Provide budgetary approval for payment vouchers as per the approved authority matrix within specified timelines. Process purchase requisition, personnel requisitions and travel request as per approved budgets. Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing. Ensure grant compliance in the light of university and grating agency protocols. Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing. Prepare different reports, memos such as Grant Variance Reports, Newsletters and other reporting etc. Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: Qualified bachelors degree or partly qualified masters, ACCA/ACMA or equivalent qualification in a related field. Minimum two years’ experience in relevant field. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in monitoring extramural grants. Sound knowledge of overall financial systems Be able to multitask and think out of the box Ability to work under pressure and deadlines Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint tools is required. Comprehensive reference checks will be conducted.
