About the role: We have a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role in our Compliance Team based in Sydney, Australia. To manage, investigate and log justifications relating to TMS alerts generated by the Bank and pertaining to customers in Australia and New Zealand. Development and implementation of a best-in-class TMS alert monitoring function within the Oceania Compliance team, utilising and adapting alert monitoring capabilities obtained through experience at other leading banks. What you’ll be doing: Day to day Transaction Monitoring and identifying any potential suspicious or fraudulent activity Analyse data from customer and financial institutions to identify any fraudulent activity Conduct Quality Assurance reviews Assist with Requests for Information across internal stakeholders for alert reviews Assist in responding to Law Enforcement inquiries Ensure that AML Compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, monitored, controlled and reported as required Promote awareness of TMS requirements Preparation of analytics and reports to identify, monitor and track TMS alert outcomes Assist with any other tasks/projects or reports as required from time to time What we are looking for: At least 1 to 2 years of work experience in banking or financial services compliance Good knowledge of Australian/NZ AML/CTF laws, rules and regulations Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and objectives simultaneously. Responsibilities
The role involves managing, investigating, and logging justifications for TMS alerts pertaining to Australian and New Zealand customers, alongside developing and implementing a best-in-class TMS alert monitoring function for the Oceania Compliance team.
