Coordinate and support all phases of assigned systems development and the implementation projects for the Financial Systems portfolio of the Fraser Health. Interact with colleagues, system users, vendors and suppliers to provide project management/leadership throughout implementation and support phases of assigned application modules and applications. You have the ability to tackle technical and strategic challenges using innovative ways.
Bring your systems expertise, finance background and analytical skills to support strategic decision making within B.C.’s fastest growing health authority.
Bring your leadership Skills and technical expertise to:
- Coordinate the development of project plans and schedules; provide input into project budgets. Develop project specifications and work plans, working closely with Information Services and user departments.
- Coordinate training, maintenance and support of assigned projects and/or information technologies in conjunction with Financial System users; monitor progress and resolve problems. Coordinate the development of system documentation for user departments.
- Conduct post-implementation project reviews; assess project results and internal methodologies; make recommendations on improvements to operations.
- Liaise with users to provide direction and advice on methods to address business needs through improved use of automated tools, and to facilitate discussion on future requirements. In consultation with users, prepare business cases to document and assist in refining revised work processes and user department goals and objectives.
- Provide application and/or technical support for all computer-based information systems under the Financial Systems portfolio by keeping up-to-date on the application standards in the Fraser Health.
- Participate in the development of long-range plans for Financial Systems Support and Development. Act as a member of the Systems and Capital portfolio team.
Are you motivated to join us? We will be looking for you to have the following:
- Completed undergraduate degree in computing science or business management and final level of a recognized accounting designation
- 5 to 7 years’ of related experience
AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE.
This full-time position is based at our Central City offices in Surrey, BC, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities.
