    Role Detail
    Joining our pivotal Global Business Acceptance Team (GBAT), who manages the global firm’s engagement risks, this role has responsibility for all aspects of the client and business intake process across the global firm, from the initial introduction of new business through to its conclusion.
    You will support the team to onboard new business in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical, commercial, strategic and reputational considerations - This role offers an opportunity to support strategic decision making with accepting new clients and matters.
    From the analysis and identification of professional conduct duties (conflicts, confidentiality), commercial conflicts/client alignment, strategic, regulatory (AML, sanctions and financial crime) and reputational risks when accepting new clients and matters, GBAT offers variety. A role in our Business Acceptance team offers autonomy and independence in working style, within a supportive team that want you to succeed.

Reporting to the Head of Client Acceptance, enjoying a balanced approach to WFH, key responsibilities will include:

  • Conflicts of Interest, Confidentiality and Information Barriers (IBs)
  • New client acceptance & financial crime: Anti-money laundering (AML)/Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), Know Your Client (KYC) compliance, sanctions plus higher risk considerations
  • GBAT projects and data management

About You

This is a varied role that will suit a team player with an agile mindset and customer centric approach. Drawing on our principles of betterment, quality and clarity, we are looking for those with exceptional analytical capabilities and an eagerness to learn and develop in the role. You will also bring:

  • Experience in professional services environment (preferably in legal, banking, or professional services).
  • Understanding of risk management in matter onboarding or business intake processes is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a desire to work collaboratively with a large team.
  • Familiarity with due diligence processes, conflicts/confidentiality systems and risk management platforms (e.g., Intapp, Aderant, or similar) is desirable.
  • Excellent written communication skills – able to distil complex risk and regulatory issues for stakeholders at all levels.
  • A keen eye for detail, highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach – confident in making reasoned recommendations and exercising sound judgement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to build trusted working relationships with legal and business services professionals globally.
  • A bachelor’s degree in law, finance or business administration is desirable.
