Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this Analyst role, you will provide support to the Global Market Dealers and Front Office through the processing and settlement of Treasury transactions (Foreign Exchange, Money Market and Derivatives), ensuring deals are completed correctly and in a timely manner. This role works closely with the Assistant Vice Presidents (AVP – Supervisor and Manager) to mitigate operational and settlement risks, drive customer outcomes and monitor transaction queues.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Enter Treasury-related transactions initiated by dealers into relevant internal/ external systems, which may involve Money Market (MM), FX or Derivatives items
  • Sort and distribute maturing corporate deals to dealers for instructions
  • Confirm transactions and instructions with counterparties and follow-up outstanding items
  • Check dealing evidence and SWIFT confirmations (MT320 / MT399)
  • Check and authorise STP deals, book transfers and trades in the external matching/settling system
  • Release STP payment orders for Corporate and Interbank MM transactions
  • Preparing customer notices, documents and confirmations for corporate customers for MM, FX or Derivative transactions
  • Prepare SWIFT messages via SAMH and monitor confirmation matching
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment/settlement of GMO products, observing the established cut-off times for the relevant currencies and locations
  • Ensure efficient settlement in Austraclear, RITS and NZClear
  • Reconciliation of funds received to settle all transactions and investigation of unallocated and / or non-received funds
  • Handle customer and internal enquiries and requests for information, following-up on any outstanding items
  • Build and maintain good working relations and open communications with internal stakeholders and customers to provide a high level of service and professionalism
  • Check end of day balancing/reconciliation
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports for Operations Management
