POSITION SUMMARY The Analyst, Government Relations – State & Local will play an important role in advocating for the company's interests at the state and local levels of government and within industry groups. This position requires a strategic thinker with an understanding of regulatory environments and the ability to develop and implement advocacy strategies that protect and promote the company's business interests and growth. RESPONSIBILITIES  Advocacy and Representation:  * Support the company in interactions with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry groups.  * Support relationships with key stakeholders to influence state-level public policy and regulatory decisions.  * Support advocacy for the company on state legislative and regulatory issues.  Regulatory Analysis and Strategy:  * Monitor and analyze regulatory changes in key states, including Ohio, where the company operates.  * Assess the impact of regulatory developments on the company's operations and business strategy.  * Help implement advocacy strategies to address regulatory challenges and opportunities.  Collaboration and Communication:  * Communicate regulatory and legislative developments to internal stakeholders.  * Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations on government relations activities.  * Support the government relations team on other specified projects as needed.  Industry Engagement:  * Participate in industry associations and coalitions to advance the company's interests.   QUALIFICATIONS * Good understanding of regulatory processes and government structures.  * Proactive, decisive and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects. * Experience engaging with state government stakeholders  * Strong detailed orientation and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks. * Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, which includes ability to remain objective and use discretion in all situations. * Highly collaborative and team oriented, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.  * Resourceful, with a problem-solving aptitude, and ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally. Preferred Qualifications:  * Preferred 2+ years of related work experience. Visit Vertiv.com to learn more.        The anticipated salary range for this role in the Washington, DC locality is between $67,000 to $83,860 per year, salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer details.
