As part of the CorHealth program at Ontario Health, the Analyst supports the implementation of products and services aimed at improving cardiac, stroke, vascular, and emergency care across Ontario. Working within the Health System Change Management & Program Delivery team, the Analyst contributes to the planning, coordination, and execution of a range of medium to large-scale program and provincial initiatives focused on enhancing the quality of care for patients in Ontario.
The Analyst may lead smaller-scale projects and will actively participate in multiple initiatives, applying a cross-project perspective to identify opportunities for collaboration and efficiency. This role will support project leads, such as Project Managers, Managers, Directors, or other leaders, in conducting risk assessments and managing issues. The Analyst will perform analytical and operational support functions to advance the delivery of strategic projects. This role is instrumental in completing project tasks and deliverables in an organized and timely manner, and play a key role in tracking progress to ensure that project timelines, budgets, and scopes are maintained.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Provides project and change management support for initiatives of varying size and complexity.
  • Contributes to daily project and program activities, including documenting decisions, tracking issues and risks, and monitoring action items.
  • Supports clinical and project leadership in clearly articulating business challenges and identifying opportunities.
  • Facilitates program-level discussions by providing thoughtful analysis to support decision-making and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Conducts project plan trend analysis and maintains project data to support effective planning and control.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills in preparing documentation, utilizing databases, generating accurate reports, and identifying trends, key risks, issues, and actionable recommendations.
  • Effectively analyzes and defines problems, evaluates alternatives, and recommends practical solutions.
  • Supports all phases of project management, including the development and completion of key deliverables such as project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, risk and issue logs, change requests, and resource utilization reports.
  • Provides coordination and administrative support for project governance and committee structures, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and materials, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
  • Builds and maintains strong, respectful relationships with internal stakeholders, staff, and senior leadership, and communicates regularly across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitors project deliverables, risks, and issues to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
  • Assists in establishing standardized project and change management services for the organization, including developing methodologies, templates, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Recommends improvements to existing project management processes to enhance quality, effectiveness, and efficiency, ensuring alignment with business and service objectives.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in business, project/program management, or a health system related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with PMI (PMP, CAPM), Change Management (ACMP/Prosci), and/or Lean methodologies is preferred
  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience within public healthcare organizations is preferred
  • Experience working with clinical subject experts and technical staff an asset
  • Excellent proficiency with use MS Project, and advanced MS Office Suite (O365) skills, in particular MS Teams, PowerPoint and Excel

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of the healthcare sector and experience in a healthcare system environment
  • Ability to work within a matrix management structure, while also successfully engaging a wide range of stakeholders in support of organizational objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to collaborate and cultivate productive relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and priority setting skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to respond to shifting business needs and concurrent tasks and projects
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, environment while also working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, a self-starter and have high-energy
