EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related field - preferred
• 2-4 Years experience - required
• Minimum 2 years defining business reporting requirements - required
• Intermediate knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) - required
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Transact-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL - required
• Excellent Microsoft Excel spreadsheet calculation, data presentation & charting skills - required

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Analyst II, Financial (Lab) is responsible for defining business requirements and developing reports related to the effectiveness and efficiency of finance and operations. This position reports to the Manager, Finance (Lab)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs complex statistical, cost analysis of data reported and extracted from various systems
• Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develops strategies for enhancing these processes
• Works with business functional areas to provide information/reporting solutions & business enhancing recommendations on the current business environment.
• Develops routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practice based use of reporting tools and applications.
• Defines, develops and implements ad hoc and standard reports
