Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Biology department (NIMO-lab, https://www.nimolab.nl/) of Maastricht University is looking for a driven analyst with expertise in human primary cell culture and organoid cultures. You will work on the further development of an innovative organ-on-chip model that investigates the complex interaction between intestines, liver and metabolism. In this role you are responsible for setting up, maintaining and optimizing cell cultures and performing advanced cell biological assays. You work closely with researchers and PhD students in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the reporting and analysis of research results.
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed HLO or MSc education in a relevant field such as cell biology, biotechnology or biomedical sciences.
- At least 2 years of experience with human primary cell culture and/or organoid cultures.
- Experience with organ-on-chip technology, microfluidic systems or co-cultures is an advantage.
- Skill in performing cell biological assays such as glucose and lipid uptake, viability assays and imaging techniques.
- Accuracy, independence and a proactive working attitude.
- Experience with data analysis and scientific reporting is a plus.
- Team player with good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
