Job Summary
The Analyst, Institutional Effectiveness, supports data-informed decision-making across the College, particularly in areas such as enrollment, retention, and student success. This position develops self-service and ad hoc reports using the Workday, College’s Operational Data Store, and Data Warehouse, leveraging Microsoft-based tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint for collaboration and delivery. The Analyst creates research methodologies, builds data sets and data models, and applies appropriate statistical techniques for assessment, evaluation, forecasting, and/or predictive analytics as appropriate to each research project. This position provides support and training to users of college reports and presents the results of research initiatives to peers and stakeholders in both formal and informal settings.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Social Science, Business, or a closely related field of study with coursework in statistics and research methods.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience using college data systems, such as Workday, Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague, PeopleSoft, or Banner, as well as business intelligence tools, analysis, and research. *An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with software such as MS SQL Server
