The role will be specifically for Western Asset, a globally integrated fixed income manager who is a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. We are looking for an Analyst for the Global Trade Services (GTS) team. Global Trade Services (GTS) is part of the Investment Operations Global department, which includes Corporate Actions, Pricing, Security Maintenance, and Accounting. GTS plays a critical role in minimizing settlement risk and managing processes for fixed income and equity products. The team collaborates across functions and technologies to support trading desks with time-sensitive, analytical tasks. Joining GTS offers exposure to global markets, cross-functional teamwork, and opportunities to contribute to operational excellence. How You Will Add Value? Core Responsibilities: You will confirm and affirm Fixed Income and Equity trades. You will reconcile trade affirmations and report daily. You will use Omgeo CTM, TradeSuite, Alert, and Failstation platforms. You will follow up with counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies. You will generate daily unconfirmed trade reports. You will manage post-settlement SPO activities. Strategic Responsibilities: You will coordinate with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to reduce settlement risk. You will pre-match trades in eligible markets. You will resolve trade fails within global timelines. You will respond to trade-related inquiries. You will prepare and settle TMPG claim letters. You will deliver fail reports to management. You will escalate issues promptly. You will analyze root causes and report trends. Team & Collaboration: You will produce regular and ad-hoc performance metrics. You will maintain updated procedures and checklists. You will support Straight Through Processing improvements. You will test new systems and functions. You will identify ways to reduce risk and improve efficiency. What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role? Experience, Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience. Graduate coursework in accounting, finance, or management. Up to 2 years of financial services experience. NCFM or investment banking certifications preferred.
