A&M’s Tax practice made up of experienced international tax law professionals dedicated to providing customized tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. A&M’s German Tax Team takes a truly holistic approach to the market, offering expertise across a diverse range of services-from Global Transaction Tax (GTT) to Private Equity Funds Tax Compliance, VAT Services, People Services, Corporate Tax and Tax Compliance Services, Operating Model and Transfer Pricing.
The Global Transaction Tax team focuses on all aspects of Merger & Acquisition tax, supporting both national and international transactions. We provide tax due diligence services to identify tax risks, which are essential for purchase price negotiations, transaction structuring, and drafting tax clauses in agreements like the SPA and aligning them with W&I insurance. Additionally, the GTT team advises on tax-efficient structuring and reorganizations, proper handling of transaction costs, and post-deal integration to address all tax-related aspects of M&A transactions comprehensively.
We are seeking an Analyst (m/f/d) - Global Transaction Tax for our growing team in Germany. This role will give you unique career opportunities in one of the fastest growing tax practices.
AT BEST YOU ALREADY HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding and initial work experience in M&A Tax, gained from a leading Tax consultancy, e.g. through internships
- Goal- and performance-oriented, charismatic personality
- Strong drive for continuous learning and professional growth
- Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills for project work
- An excellent master’s degree in Finance, Accounting Tax Law or Tax Economics or related fields
- Business fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Providing advice in all aspects of transactions tax advisory work:
- Producing due diligence reports in respect of buy-side and sell-side mandates
- Supporting buy-side clients in respect of tax modelling and funds flow workstreams
- Drafting advisory reports on the establishment of fund structures and transaction structuring in respect of the acquisition / disposal of investments
- Working to client or Managing Director set deadlines to deliver completed reports
- Establishing and managing client relationships:
- Dealing directly with clients to assimilate their tax concerns
- Identifying areas of risk for clients and working with senior team members to develop risk mitigation strategies
- Liaising with tax specialists in other areas
- Co-ordinating national and international Tax teams
- Providing clients with ad-hoc advice on day-to-day planning issues
- Involved in business development and marketing initiatives
- Work closely together with the members of A&M’s global tax teams with locations in places such as UK, US, Netherlands, Dubai and many more
- Focus on advisory work with limited time spent on compliance and administrative tasks
